Bro. Gabe Lane joined Garden Grove Missionary Baptist church as the youth minister in August 2024. This is his first official position in a church, though he has been volunteering for several years at this Garden Grove and at his previous church, Florence Street, in Broken Arrow. Bro. Gabe gave his life to Christ and was baptized when he was 7 at County Like Baptist Church in Broken Arrow where his Great Grandpa Calvin Easley pastored. He surrendered to the ministry at age 15 at Bogg Springs youth camp, and since then he has gotten to preach and teach at several churches, camps, and events. He moved from Broken Arrow to Shawnee in 2022 to attend Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) as a Biblical and Theological studies major. There he is involved in on-campus ministries like Ministry Alliance, Mission Exchange, and the ZOH pro-life club. He is planning to graduate from OBU in Spring of 2026 with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
